Bal Dhesi qualified from University of Leeds in 2002 and has been the principal dentist at Meltham Dental Care since 2006. Bal’s philosophy is to ensure dentistry is delivered to the highest standard, this includes providing a clinical and support team that are trained to the highest of standards.
Bal was behind the development of our custom built state of the art dental surgery only one of a very few in the country.
To ensure that Bal remains at the cutting edge of dentistry, he is ever increasing his post graduate knowledge. Some of his post graduate education includes attending the Restorative Diploma run by the Faculty of Royal college of surgeons and introductory and advanced postgraduate Dental Implant Courses along with numerous tooth alignment (braces) courses.
A graduate from Leeds Dental University in 2002, Su started her dental career in Bradford. In 2004 Su joined a mixed NHS and private dental practice in Leeds and in 2014 Su joined Meltham Dental Care.
Su is committed to continual professional development within dentistry and regularly attends post graduate courses.
She is a firm believer in the preventative approach to dentistry.
Su offers a wide range of dental services, including, general dentistry, crowns and bridges and cosmetic dentistry.
Su likes to spend her spare time with her young family and enjoys travelling.
Becky graduated from Leeds Dental School in 2019. She enjoys working with anxious adults and children, taking time to provide a high standard of care in a comfortable and reassuring environment. She is a strong believer in preventative dentistry, and enjoys working with her patients to find the best outcome for every individual.
Becky is a keen climber and enjoys spending her weekends making the most of the beautiful countryside with friends and family.
Matt graduated with honours from The university of Sheffield in 2019. Since then he has completed further training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Leeds dental institute. Matt enjoys working with patients and tailoring treatment to their needs and expectations.
In his spare time, matt enjoys walking in the Peak District and seeing friends and family.
Rebecca graduated from Newcastle Dental School in 2002 with the Agfa Prize in Radiology. She started her career in Halifax in a mixed nhs & private practice. Gaining additional experience with nervous and anxious patients in a community dentistry placement.
She joined Almondbury Dental Practice establishing 16 years experience in family dentistry. During which she enhanced her interest in working with children and nervous patients. She gained further experience in Oral Surgery with a placement at Calderdale Royal Infirmary. Rebecca also has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry recently completing a course in composite bonding smile design SmileFast.
She enjoys spending time with her 3 young children, family and friends. A keen runner & walker and also an active member in her local powerhoops group.
Sarah qualified as a dental nurse with the NVQ level 3 in oral health care dental nursing in 2007. Following this Sarah spent 7 enjoyable years working in a busy NHS dental practice and gained post qualifications in dental radiography and the application of fluoride varnish.
In 2016 Sarah achieved the diploma in dental hygiene and dental therapy and now enjoys working with the team at Meltham Dental to provide a high quality and standard of dental treatment.
Sarah is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists and regularly attends courses and conferences to update knowledge and skill.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys spending time with friends and playing badminton.
Mark qualified from the prestigious Guys Hospital Dental School in 1991. In July 2004 he was awarded the Advanced Level Certificate of the Diploma in Implantology from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in October 2009.
For 10 years Mark worked at Manchester University Dental Hospital where he worked in the department of Oral Maxillo Facial Surgery, exclusively spending his time working on all aspects of surgical dental implantology. This gave him valuable experience treating very advanced cases including patients who had significant deformities caused by extreme trauma and in the rehabilitation of patients who had surgery for oral cancer.
Mark is also an Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow at Manchester University Dental Hospital where he is involved in teaching the Masters students in Implant Dentistry.
Mark will be involved in treatment planning and undertaking advanced implant placements including grafting and sinus lifts at Meltham Dental Care.
Alice qualified as a dental nurse before going to the university of Sheffield, where she graduated in 2019 as a dental therapist. She particularly enjoys working with children and believes in taking a preventative approach to dentistry. In her spare time she enjoys walking in the countryside, spending time with friends and family and baking.
