Many of you will know what it is like to suffer with toothache, whether it is from an accident, a chipped tooth or tooth decay. When it occurs we need the toothache looking at as soon as possible.
In today's blog we are going to look at the different options available to you.
If you are not a regular patient at Meltham Dental Care we do provide Emergency Dental Appointments at the practice. All you will need to do is telephone the practice on 01484 850501 and the reception team will be able to advise you of an appointment time, what is involved and the cost.
If you are at home or within a 15 mile radius of your home address, all you need to do is call the practice and the reception team will be able to arrange an appointment for you to see the dentist.
If the call is made out of hours, there will be a mobile contact number on the answerphone for you to contact one of the dentists* at the practice. The dentist will be able to advise you and come out to the practice to see you if that is required.
If you in the UK (15 miles away from home) or abroad you can go to any practice in that area, you will need to pay for the treatment but the insurance aspect of your membership will refund you the monies**. If you contact practice plan they will give you some contact numbers of other practice plan practices in that area if you wish, but you can go to any dentist.
All you need to do is call the practice and they will be able to advise you of an appointment time, if it is out of surgery hours there will be a message on the answerphone advising you of what you need to do. We recommend that you telephone the practice at 8.30am to secure a same day appointment. Emergency appointments are released on a daily basis for all our private patients.
All you need to do is telephone the practice and the reception to team will be able to advise you of the first available appointment. The receptionist will triage the call to assess the emergency and book you in accordingly, NHS charges will be payable at the visit. If it is out of hours you will need to telephone 111 for further information.
We always recommend you telephone the practice as soon as we open at 8.30am and before 10am if you are wanting to be seen the same day. Emergency appointments are released on a daily basis for our NHS patients.
